A practical guide to starting with a demo club, bringing in your owned players, preparing a legal XI, developing players in Academy and recovering a wallet transaction safely.
Begin with a persistent demo club, then connect ownership when you are ready.
Your first club is a demo club with its own name, colors and sample XI. You can explore the interface and watch published native match recordings without starting a simulation, rendering a match or submitting a wallet transaction.
When your wallet is verified and holds players from the current GoalRook collection, the club upgrades in place. Its identity and profile stay with you; the demo setup is not discarded. If that wallet already has a club, its existing identity is kept.
The current public collection runs on Robinhood Testnet (chain ID 46630). A free pack has a 0 ETH mint price, but claiming it still requires testnet gas. Test credits are a separate, non-transferable API balance with no cash value.
01
Choose a club name and colors to make your demo club yours.
02
Connect and verify a wallet when you want to use owned current-generation players.
03
Review the club and player collection after the upgrade; the same club continues with your owned squad.
Understand what is needed before a real match can start, and what consent means.
A real match uses 20 owned NFTs from the active collection: 11 legal starters and 9 available substitutes. A demo XI is for exploring the club and is not a substitute for that owned-player plan.
Academy is the place for solo matches and player development. NFT duels are friendlies against another manager. Tournaments and other competitive entries use the squad plan and terms shown when you join; review them before giving consent.
For a season fixture, each owner authorizes the frozen season once. Future starts can be revoked. Before a fixture starts, ownership and the saved squad are checked again. A match that has already started keeps its result and recovery path.
01
Check that all 20 players belong to the active collection and are available.
02
Set 11 legal starters and keep 9 players on the bench.
03
Review the opponent, format, schedule and any season authorization before confirming entry.
Academy combines solo matches with player development. Choose an eligible owned player and follow the current Academy screen for setup, match availability and any development action. A demo player or a historical database record is not an owned NFT.
Development changes are recorded through the supported on-chain flow. The player’s confirmed card data can take time to reflect a completed transaction. Follow the status shown in the app and retain the transaction hash if confirmation is still pending.
Development opportunities and limits are shown for each player in the product. They can vary with the player’s current state, so use the displayed eligibility rather than assuming every player can train in the same way.
01
Open Academy with the verified wallet that owns the player.
02
Review the player’s eligibility and the action details before signing.
03
Wait for the transaction to confirm, then refresh the player details if the new state has not appeared yet.
Know which account is signed in, which wallet is signing, and how to recover a pending hash.
Your GoalRook session and transaction wallet have different jobs. The session identifies your manager account for private club data. The wallet connected for a transaction signs on-chain actions. Connecting a wallet for a transaction does not replace the verified account session.
A wallet can submit a transaction before the network confirms it. To resume a free player-pack claim, return to Mint with the same wallet connected and choose “Check confirmation”; “View pending transaction” opens its saved hash. For an Academy match entry, open Academy, select the match under “Your matches” and choose “Check status”. “Check development” checks a saved squad-development transaction. For an individual development claim, select the player in the card view, choose “Review gains”, then “Check status”. These controls check the existing transaction; they do not ask for a second signature.
If you change accounts or wallets, check which club and owner are shown before continuing. Never share a seed phrase or private key with anyone, including support.
01
Reconnect the same wallet and return to Mint for a free pack claim or Academy for a match or development action.
02
In Mint, choose “Check confirmation”. In Academy, select the match under “Your matches” and choose “Check status”; for a squad-development transaction choose “Check development”. For an individual development claim, select the player in the card view, choose “Review gains”, then “Check status”.
03
If Academy asks for a hash, enter the exact transaction hash from wallet activity and choose “Verify this transaction”. Do not start the action again while the earlier transaction is unresolved; check its hash in wallet activity or the testnet explorer.
Clear answers about clubs, matches, wallets and the current test network.
01How old do I need to be?+
You must be at least 18 to play, use wallet features, submit support messages or join the community. Read the Terms, Privacy notice and Community rules linked in the footer.
02Do I lose my demo club when I connect a wallet?+
No. Once the wallet is verified with current-collection players, the existing demo club is upgraded in place. If the wallet already has a club, that wallet club keeps its identity.
03How many players do I need for a real match?+
You need 20 owned NFTs from the active collection, arranged as 11 legal starters and 9 substitutes.
04Can I play before I own NFTs?+
You can explore your demo club and watch published native match recordings. Real matches require the owned current-generation player squad.
05Where do solo matches and friendlies happen?+
Academy handles solo matches and development. NFT duels are friendlies against another manager.
06Does a slow video mean my match failed?+
No. The native football result and media rendering are separate. The result is preserved if replay or video rendering is delayed or unavailable.
07What if my transaction is still pending?+
Keep its hash and use the saved-hash recovery or confirmation control in the same action. It checks the existing transaction instead of asking for another signature.
08Which network does GoalRook use?+
The current public network is Robinhood Testnet, chain ID 46630. Free packs still require network gas.
09Can I buy, sell or withdraw money?+
Paid minting and current-collection in-app trading are disabled. Test credits have no cash value; mainnet, deposits, withdrawals and cash wagering are also disabled.
